The Ardrishaig Community Trust recently concluded the purchase of the North Hall in Ardrishaig from the Church of Scotland.

The Trust paid £80,000 for the Hall which is located on the sea front in the centre of the village.  The majority of this cash will be retained in the Ardrishaig Parish and will be used to fund a number of projects the Church has planned, including improving the access into the Ardrishaig Church and other essential repairs to local Church property.  With regular income now coming to the Ardrishaig Trust from their 1/12th share in the Allt Dearg Community Wind Farm; the Trust has the ability to fund the Community Hall in the long term for the benefit of the wider community, allowing the Church to focus their resources in other areas.

The Trust took ownership of the Hall on the 1st September and is now working with interested parties to see how it can be best used to meet the needs of the Community. The regular income from Allt Dearg allows the Trust to plan long term and help deliver the regeneration of the village and to enhance the recreational, cultural and sporting facilities within the community.
