The completed planning application for Sròndoire Community Wind Farm was lodged with Argyll & Bute Council at the end of June.
Sròndoire Community Wind Farm is the proposed 3 turbine sister project to Allt Dearg. The planning process for Sròndoire started in early 2012, the formal scoping process with Argyll & Bute Council planning department and Scottish Natural Heritage officers has been running for just over a year. The final planning application and Environmental Statement submission has been lodged with Argyll & Bute Council. Richard Kerr, the Team Leader of the Major Applications section of the Planning Department, will now start the review process and seek the views of the various consultees. Consultees include the neighbouring Communty Councils and Scottish Natural Heritage. It is hoped that the project will be consented by the end of the year. Sròndoire Community Wind Farm would start building at the end of 2014 and be fully operational by Autumn 2015.
